Butter Saute of Spring Potatoes and Green Peas

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut in half.
  2. Soak in water to get rid of bitterness.
  3. Boil the green peas in salted water and remove while they are still hard.
  4. When they come floating to the surface, they're good.
  5. Put the potatoes in a pan.
  6. Add water and 30 g of butter, and start cooking over high heat.
  7. When it comes to a boil, turn down the heat to low.
  8. Add salt and cover with a lid, and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are cooked through.
  9. When the potatoes are cooked, add the green peas and the remaining 10-20 g of butter, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. Add grindings of pepper to finish.
  11. Even though this is only flavored with butter, it's delicious, and you can drink up the cooking liquid too.
  12. (Although it's rather high in calories.)
