Butter Saute of Spring Potatoes and Green Peas
- 4 medium New potatoes
- 30 grams Green peas
- 40 to 50 grams Butter
- 200 ml Water
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 Pepper
- Peel the potatoes and cut in half.
- Soak in water to get rid of bitterness.
- Boil the green peas in salted water and remove while they are still hard.
- When they come floating to the surface, they're good.
- Put the potatoes in a pan.
- Add water and 30 g of butter, and start cooking over high heat.
- When it comes to a boil, turn down the heat to low.
- Add salt and cover with a lid, and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are cooked through.
- When the potatoes are cooked, add the green peas and the remaining 10-20 g of butter, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add grindings of pepper to finish.
- Even though this is only flavored with butter, it's delicious, and you can drink up the cooking liquid too.
- (Although it's rather high in calories.)
