Chicken Stew
- 1 large chicken
- 1 gal. water
- 2 c. sliced okra
- 2 c. lima beans
- 4 c. chopped tomatoes
- 2 sliced onions
- 4 c. corn
- 4 diced potatoes
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- dash of hot sauce
- Cut up chicken and cook slowly in gallon of water for 2 hours. Do
- not
- boil rapidly.
- Debone chicken and put back in broth. Add

- for 6 hours, adding
- hot water
- occasionally to have 5 to 6 quarts of this mixture.
- Then add
- the potatoes and corn.
- Cook 1 more hour. Stir

- This is great to have in freezer for a quick meal.
