American Style Pilsner Recipe

  1. Boild one gal of water, add in syrup, stir till dissolved.
  2. Return to heat.
  3. Add in 3 ounce hallertauer hops and boild for 30-45 minutes.
  4. In last 5-10 min of boil, add in the saaz hops.
  5. Add in to 4 gal of cool water.
  6. When cooled to below 80 degrees, pitch yeast.
  7. Fermentation at 45-55 degrees should go as follows: 10-14 days in primary fermenter, 2-3 weeks in secondary and 6 weeks in the bottle.
  8. OSG: 1040-1050 FSG: 1008-1012
