Cabernet Burgers

  1. Boil wine and shallots in saucepan over medium heat 20 minutes, until reduced to about 3/4 cup.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon and honey.
  3. Blend well & remove from heat.
  4. Mix remaining butter with rosemary & set aside.
  5. Heat grill.
  6. Mix meat, salt, pepper, basil and 1/4 cup wine mixture in large bowl.
  7. Shape into 4 patties.
  8. Grill burgers 3-5 minutes, flip, and add wine mixture.
  9. Grill burgers until cooked through.
  10. (Flip & brush frequently while grilling).
  11. Sprinkle with cheddar after last flip, and leave on grill until cheese melts.
  12. Spread face buns with butter mixture & grill to toast.
  13. Place patties on buns & top with tomato slices, spinach, and desired condiments.
