Pumpkin Cookies
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. canned pumpkin
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. golden raisins
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla frosting
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 4 Tbsp. milk or half and half
- 1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter, sugar and egg until smooth.
- Add the vanilla and pumpkin.
- Blend in.
- Add the raisins and nuts.
- Sift together baking powder, soda, salt and flour.
- Stir into butter mixture.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto buttered cookie sheet. Bake 10-13 minutes.
- Remove from sheet, cool slightly then frost.
