Kettle Corn

  1. In a heavy pot with a fitted lid, pour corn oil on the bottom and sprinkle two kernels in the oil.
  2. Turn heat onto medium high.
  3. Put a lid on top and wait for the two kernels to pop.
  4. After they have popped, sprinkle suger evenly over the oil, and popcorn kernels over the sugar.
  5. Replace the lid and gently shake the pot while kernels begin popping.
  6. Keep shaking until popping slows down to 1-2 seconds between pops.
  7. Remove from heat and spread kettle corn out onto a cookie sheet.
  8. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
  9. Careful!!
  10. Its hot and it will stick to you!
  11. Ouch!
  12. Let cool and then enjoy!
