Breakfast Bars Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Spray 13x9" baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Stir in dry fruit.
  5. Beat egg and sugar on high speed 1 minute.
  6. Stir in applesauce.
  7. Alternately beat in flour and buttermilk.
  8. Stir in 1-1/2 c. of cereal.
  9. Pour batter into pan.
  10. Sprinkle top with remaining cereal.
  11. Bake 15 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  12. Cold on wire rack.
  13. Great for anyone who is rushed in the mornings.
