Creamy Slow-Cooker Oatmeal with Pears & Walnuts
- 2-1/2 cups skim milk
- 1-1/2 cups plain nonfat Greek-style yogurt
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1-1/4 cups steel-cut oats
- 1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 3 Tbsp. flax seed
- 2 pears Safeway 1 lb For $1.88 thru 02/09
- 1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
- Whisk first 4 ingredients in slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray until blended.
- Add all remaining ingredients except pears and nuts; mix well.
- Cover with lid.
- Cook on LOW 3-1/2 to 4 hours, stirring after 2 hours.
- Peel, core and chop pears.
- Stir into oatmeal.
- Serve topped with nuts.
