Steak With Garlic-Wasabi Sauce
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. beef broth
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped tomato
- 1/4 c. chopped peeled apple
- 1/4 c. chopped carrot
- 1/4 c. chopped celery
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 tsp. tomato paste
- 5 tsp. wasabi powder, dissolved in 5 tsp. water
- 1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 7 Tbsp. butter
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 4 (8 oz.) tenderloin steaks
- For Sauce:
- Combine broths, 1/2 cup chopped onion, tomato, apple, carrot, celery, soy sauce, 3 chopped garlic cloves and tomato paste in pan.
- Bring to boil.
- Reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Strain into medium pan.
- Boil until reduced to 1/2 cup.
- Stir in wasabi mixture.
