Fruit Turnovers

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Mix baking mix, sugar, margarine and milk until a soft dough forms.
  3. Form dough into balls with hands. Lightly flour cutting board.
  4. Knead dough 8 to 10 times.
  5. Divide dough in half.
  6. Flatten dough with palm of hand.
  7. Roll into a rectangle, 12 x 8-inch.
  8. Cut into six 4-inch squares.
  9. Place squares on ungreased cookie sheet.
  10. Place 1 tablespoon pie filling in corner of each square.
  11. Fold opposite corner over.
  12. Press edges with floured fork to seal.
  13. Prick tops.
  14. Repeat with remaining half of dough.
  15. Bake until brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
  16. Heat remaining filling.
  17. Spoon over warm turnovers or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  18. Turnovers may also be made by rolling each half of the dough in a circle.
  19. Use a small dessert bowl as an outline for the turnovers.
