Sloppy Joe Pizza

  1. For the meat: Cook beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until meat is browned and onions are softened.
  2. Drain off the grease.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, salt and 3/4 of the jar of chili sauce.
  4. Set aside.
  5. For the dough: Preheat oven to 425 F and put your pizza stone in the oven to heat up as the oven heats.
  6. Combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt in the bowl of your stand mixer.
  7. Stir using the dough hook, then add water and oil and continue mixing until well blended, about 1 minute.
  8. Add additional flour in 1/2 cup increments until dough is soft, but slightly sticky.
  9. Continue kneading it with the dough hook for about 4 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  10. Dump dough onto a floured work surface and roll into a pizza shape, adding more flour if necessary.
  11. Place dough on the hot pizza stone and bake at 425 F for 6 minutes.
  12. Remove crust from oven.
  13. Drizzle crust with remaining chili sauce and spread it to 1/2 inch from the edge.
  14. Spread meat over the top of the chili sauce, then layer cheddar, mozzarella and colby jack cheese over that.
  15. Slide pizza back into the oven for 6 more minutes to melt cheese.
