Apple Crisp Cake With Caramel Sauce Recipe

  1. Generously grease and flour a 13"x9" pan.
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, oats and brown sugar; mix well.
  3. With a fork or possibly pastry blender, cut in 1/2 c. butter till mix resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In a large bowl, combine all cake ingredients except apples; beat at low speed till moistened.
  6. Beat 2 min at high speed.
  7. Pour batter into greased and floured pan.
  8. Arrange apple slices over top of batter.
  9. Sprinkle with topping.
  10. Bake at 350 F. for 55 - 60 min or possibly till deep golden.
  11. Cold 5 min before serving.
  12. In a small saucepan, combine sauce ingredients.
  13. Cook over medium heat till hot, stirring constantly.
  14. Serve hot sauce over hot cake.
