Lalla's Special Mutton/Beef/Chicken Curry

  1. Cut meat in 2cm cubes and mix with cumin and coriander powder
  2. On medium head saute onions in 4 tbsp of vegetable oil with masala, tumeric, crushed green ginger/garlic paste, salt, cloves, cinnamon, cardamon until onions are golden brown
  3. Add meat to the onion mix and braze for about 5 mins.
  4. Add 1 1/2 cup of water and curry leaves and simmer for until meat is almost tender; add more water as and when required
  5. Add tomatoes, potatoes quartered, carrots and garum masala and another 1/2 cup of water, bring to the boil and simmer until potatoes are cooked through
  6. Serve with steamed rice of you choice and sprinkle with some fresh coriander leaves for garnish
