Elitetwig's Bacon Barley Burgers

  1. In a mediun saucepan bring barley and chicken broth to the boil on a high heat, then reduce to a simmer (uncovered) for 20 minutes or until barley is tender.
  2. Drain excess fluids and set aside.
  3. While the barley is cooking, in a non-stick skillet cook the bacon, onions and garlic in a little oil until golden in colour.
  4. Add bacon, onions and garlic to barley.
  5. Mix in the egg, ritz and cheese to the barley mixture.
  6. Combine well.
  7. Wet hands and divide mixture into 4 and create patties.
  8. Fry patties in rest of oil approx 4 mins each side or until golden all over.
  9. Serve with anything you like.
  10. Arf-O!
