Chinese Sweet and Sour Pork

  1. Cut one pound of lean pork into pieces about 1/4 inch thick, 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste, and soy sauce.
  3. Fry the pieces of pork in vegetable oil.
  4. When well done, roll the pork in the pea flour, and broil for five minutes in boiling peanut oil.
  5. Remove the pork and broil the carrots and bell peppers for one minute in the boiling peanut oil.
  6. Mix the pork, carrots and bell peppers and serve with the hot Sweet and Sour Sauce.
  7. Heat the sauce ingredients until the sugar has dissolved.
  8. Serves 6.
