Opposite Mirror-Image Brownies
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 14 cups flour
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 34 cup white chocolate chips
- 12 cup butter, softened
- 12 cup packed light brown sugar
- 14 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- BROWNIE LAYER: Preheat oven to 350*F.
- Melt the chocolate chips over low heat; cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla; blend well.
- Stir in the melted chocolate.
- Combine the flour and baking soda; add to chocolate mixture just until combined.
- Gently stir in the white chocolate chips.
- Spread batter in a greased 13x9" baking pan; bake for 16-22 minutes, or until a toothpick tests out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack.
- COOKIE DOUGH LAYER: In a clean bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars until well combined.
- Blend in the milk and vanilla; gradually add the flour.
- Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop by Tbsp.
- over the cooled brownie layer; carefully spread over the top.
- Cut into squares; store, covered, in the refrigerator.
