Chocolate Scotcheroos Candy

  1. Combine sugar
  2. and
  3. corn
  4. syrup
  5. in 3-quart saucepan.
  6. Cook over moderate heat,
  7. stirring
  8. frequently,
  9. until
  10. mixture begins to bubble. Remove from heat.
  11. Stir in peanut butter; mix well. Add Rice Krispies; stir until well
  12. coated.
  13. Press
  14. mixture
  15. into buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  16. Melt
  17. chocolate and butterscotch morsels in top section of double boiler over hot,
  18. but
  19. not boiling water or in small saucepan over very low heat,
  20. stirring constantly,
  21. until
  22. well mixed.
  23. Remove from heat; spread evenly over
  24. Rice Krispies mixture.
  25. Cool until firm.
  26. Cut into bars 2 x 1-inches.
