Melt In Your Mouth Sugar Cookies Recipe
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. Crisco oil
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 5 c. sifted flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoon soda
- 1 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Cream sugar, salt, butter, and oil till sugar is dissolved.
- Add in powdered sugar, and beaten Large eggs.
- Mix.
- Add in 1 c. flour to that the cream of tartar and soda has been added, then add in vanilla and lemon extract and mix well.
- Add in rest of flour.
- If Large eggs were small, use only 4 1/2 c. of flour.
- Refrigeratedough 3-4 hrs or possibly overnight in refrigerator.
- Roll dough in little balls.
- Put on ungreased cookie sheet; dip bottom of glass in sugar and press down.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 min.
- Watch so they do not turn brown.
- Use colored sugar at holidays.
