Cabbage Lasagna Recipe

  1. * Delicious using half Provolone cheese, half mozzarella cheese.
  2. Saute/fry grnd beef, onion and green pepper till meat is brown.
  3. Drain well.
  4. Meanwhile, boil cabbage till tender, 2-5 min.
  5. Combine 2 c. of liquid form cabbage with oregano, salt, pepper and tomato paste.
  6. Simmer or possibly Microwave for 5 min.
  7. Add in meat-vegetables mix.
  8. Simmer for 5 min more.
  9. Spoon half of the tomato-meat mix into a 13x9" pan.
  10. Layer well-liquid removed cabbage on sauce then rest of sauce.
  11. Top with sliced cheese to cover.
  12. Bake at 400 F. for 25-40 min.
  13. Cheese can be added during last 5-10 min .
  14. Can Microwave for a while and then finish in oven, to cut down cooking time.
  15. NOTES : Easily cut in half and baked in 7x11" baking dish.
