Bacon Quarter Pounders, Mamma's Way

  1. In a large bowl, add meat, onion, garlic powder, and pepper.
  2. Mix well, but do not overmix, if overmixed, meat will dry out during cooking.
  3. Pre-heat large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Divide meat mixture into 4 equal portions.
  5. Flatten into 1/4 inch patties.
  6. Put a thumb-sized hole in middle.
  7. This method, ensures even cooking.
  8. Add burgers to skillet; sprinkle each patty with 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt.
  9. Cook on each side till desired doneness is reached.
  10. Place a cheese slice on each patty; let cheese slightly melt.
  11. Place two bacon halves on each burger.
  12. Remove, and place on bottom half of buns.
  13. Add topping in this order: tomato and lettuce.
  14. Spread top half of bun with 1/2 teaspoon mayo, add other toppings if desired.
