Black Beans And Tomatoes Recipe
- 1/2 x Black Beans see General Recipe cooking liquid as needed (equals: 1 lb cooked black beans
- 1 x onion or possibly two
- 1 x garlic clove or possibly two minced pepper
- 1 tsp Cumin seed
- 1 tsp grnd cumin dry Cilantro Oregano Sweet basil
- 1 can tomatoes Salt to taste
- (I use a stewed tomato product - Italian or possibly Mexican style - because it has peartomatoes in it.
- These tomatoes do not cook away, but stay in little chunks.
- Also extra stuff in the can for flavoring doesn't hurt. )
- .Cook till beans are tender.
- Sometimes I also add in a handful of wildrice in addition to the brown rice to the pot.
- I like to serve fat free flour torillas with above beans because I like to "dip".
- My daughter uses the beans for burritos.
- Or possibly I add in a good bread and a salad to complete meal.
