Honey Glazed Veal Loaf Recipe
- 1 1/2 pound grnd veal (turkey works great)
- 1/3 c. bread crumbs
- 1/3 c. plus 2 tbsp. thinly sliced green onion, divided
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse grnd pepper
- 1/2 c. evaporated lowfat milk
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. Dijon-style mustard
- Combine grnd meat, bread crumbs, 1/3 c. onion, basil, salt and pepper.
- Add in evaporated lowfat milk, mixing lightly but thoroughly.
- Place loaf in pan.
- Combine mustard and honey.
- Brush half of glaze over loaf.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- Brush with remaining glaze.
- Bake 30 min more.
- Sprinkle remaining green onions on top.
- Serves 6.
