Cheddar Cheese And Garlic Grits
- 4 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 1 c. uncooked regular grits
- 1 (12 oz.) block sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. seasoned pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. hot sauce
- 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
- paprika
- Bring first three ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan. Gradually stir in grits. Return to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally 15 minutes or until thickened. Add cheese and next four ingredients, stirring until cheese melts. Remove from heat; let stand 10 minutes. Stir in eggs and pour into a lightly greased 11 x 7-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour or until set. Yield: Approximately 8 to 10 servings.
