Baked Cauliflower And Broccoli Au Gratin

  1. Cut broccoli and cauliflower into bite size pieces.
  2. Steam until tender, drain.
  3. Place vegetables in an 8 1/2 x 11-inch baking dish.
  4. Scald 1 1/2 cups milk in saucepan.
  5. Add pepper and 2 tablespoons butter.
  6. Pour remaining 1/2 cup milk into a jar; add flour.
  7. Cover and shake until smooth.
  8. Pour flour mixture into hot milk, stirring constantly.
  9. Cook over low heat until mixture thickens.
  10. Add cheese; mix well.
  11. Pour sauce over vegetables; top with bread crumbs and wheat germ.
  12. Dot with remaining butter and paprika.
  13. Bake 30 minutes at 350u0b0.
  14. Serves 6 to 8.
