Dayton Art Museum Sugar Cookies
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 14 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 12 teaspoons vanilla
- Cream butter, oil, and sugars.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Whisk together dry ingredients.
- Add to wet ingredients and mix just until fully combined.
- Form into a disc, wrap tightly in plastic and refrigerate overnight.
- Roll cookies out to about 1/4" thick.
- Cut into desired shapes.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 F for 10-12 minutes.
