Mounds Bars
- 1 c. margarine
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. baking cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1 c. condensed milk
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1/4 c. baking cocoa
- 6 Tbsp. milk
- 1 pkg. confectioners sugar
- vanilla extract to taste
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Combine 1 cup butter, flour, sugar, eggs, 3 tablespoons baking cocoa and salt.
- Mix well.
- Spread into greased 10 x 15-inch baking pan.
- Bake 20 minutes.
- Spread mixture of coconut and condensed milk on hot layer.
- Bake 12 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
- Combine 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup baking cocoa, milk, sugar and vanilla.
- Mix until smooth.
- Spread and cut into bars.
- Makes 2 dozen.
