Chocolate Mousse Pie
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate bits
- 3 Tbsp. Grand Marnier liqueur or concentrated orange juice
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. whipping cream, whipped
- orange slices
- chocolate cookie crumbs, grated chocolate and fresh mint leaves (optional)
- Place chocolate in top of double boiler and melt.
- Add Grand Marnier or orange juice; stir.
- Remove from heat.
- In blender, beat egg yolks and eggs for 2 minutes.
- Add sugar; continue to blend on medium to high speed until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into mixing bowl.
- Fold in whipped cream, then melted chocolate mixture.
- Pour into pie plate and cover.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
- Garnish.
- Serves 6.
