Whole Wheat Carrot Bread Recipe

  1. Scald lowfat milk.
  2. Combine carrots with sufficient lowfat milk to equal 2 c.. Dissolve yeast in hot water in large bowl of mixer.
  3. Stir in salt, 1/4 c. honey, butter and carrot mix.
  4. Follow mixing instructions for Basic White Bread recipe, adding all-purpose flour first.
  5. Add in whole wheat flour for the second addition of flour.
  6. Proceed as instructed, using all-purpose flour for kneading.
  7. Brush warm loaves with additional honey and sprinkle with wheat germ.
  8. Cold.
  9. Yield: 2 loaves.
