German Style Radiatore
- 8 oz. radiatore
- 6 slices bacon
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. celery seed
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 c. water
- Cook radiatore as directed.
- Drain well.
- While pasta is cooking, fry bacon until crisp, drain bacon on paper towels.
- Add onion to bacon fat, cook until clear.
- Stir in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
- Cook over low heat until mixture begins to boil, remove from heat.
- Stir in vinegar and water.
- Return to medium heat, cook, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil.
- Stir one minute and remove from heat.
- Add crumbled bacon, radiatore and hot dressing together.
- Stir gently and serve hot. Also can add diced dill pickles if you want.
