Classic Lasagne
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 1/4 c. bell pepper (optional)
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste plus equal amount water
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes plus equal amount water
- 1 (8 oz.) container Ricotta cheese
- 1 c. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 c. shredded medium Cheddar cheese
- 10 oz. lasagne noodles
- 1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
- pepperoni slices (optional)
- Brown meat, onion and bell pepper.
- Add next 6 ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Cook noodles in salted water with 1 tablespoon of margarine until tender.
- Alternate layers of noodles, sauce and cheese in a large baking dish.
- Top with 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese and pepperoni.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and wait for 10 minutes before serving.
