Asparagus Ham Swirls Recipe

  1. In a skillet, cook asparagus in a small amount of water till crisp-tender, about 6-8 min; drain well.
  2. Srpead about 1 tsp.
  3. of mustard on each ham slice.
  4. Top with one slice of cheese.
  5. Place an asparagus spear at one end (Trim to fit, if needed) .
  6. Roll up each ham sliced tightly, secure with three toothpicks.
  7. Dip ham roll in egg, then roll in bread crumbs.
  8. In an electric skilet, heat 1 inch oil to 350 F. Fry rolls a few at a time, till golden, about 3-4 min.
  9. Drain on paper towels; keep hot.
  10. Cut each roll between the toothpicks into three pcs.
  11. Yield: 4 dozen.
