Cranberry Mince Pie

  1. In saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch;add water.
  2. Over high heat, cook and stir until boiling.
  3. Add cranberries;return to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat;simmer 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Turn mincemeat into pastry lined 9 or 10" pie plate.
  6. Top with cranberries.
  7. Cover with vented top crust;seal and flute.
  8. Brush egg mixture over crust.
  9. Bake @ 425 degrees in lower half of oven 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool.
