Black Eyed Peas `N Potatoes Recipe

  1. In skillet heat oil.
  2. Add in mustard seed.
  3. Cover and cook till seeds begin to pop.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Stir in cumin.
  6. Add in onion and garlic.
  7. Cook and stir till onion is tender, not brown.
  8. Stir undrained black-eyed peas, potatoes, ginger, turmeric and red pepper.
  9. Bring to boiling.
  10. Reduce heat.
  11. Cover; simmer 15 min.
  12. Serves 4-5.
  13. Goes well with pork, lamb, or possibly chicken.
