Prince Of Wales Pie
- 1 (8 inch) baked pie shell
- 2/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 2/3 c. butter
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- unsweetened whipping cream, whipped
- pecan halves (for garnish)
- Combine brown sugar, butter and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over low-medium heat.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cook and stir constantly for 7 minutes until thick, watch carefully, as mixture scorches easily.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into baked pie shell.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Wait 1 minute until chips have melted slightly.
- With a fork, gently swirl the chocolate chips making a pretty pattern.
- Chill until firm. Top with dollops of whipped cream and place pecan half on each dollop.
