Orange Dream Gelatina
- 1 can (15 oz.) mandarin oranges, undrained
- 3 pkg. (3 oz. each) JELL-O Orange Flavor Gelatin, divided
- 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
- 1 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 6 drained maraschino cherries, halved
- 1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- Drain oranges, reserving juice.
- Pour juice into saucepan; bring to boil.
- Combine 2 pkg.
- gelatin mix in medium bowl.
- Add juice; stir 2 min.
- until gelatin is completely dissolved.)
- (Gelatin will be thick.)
- Blend milks and sour cream in blender until smooth.
- Add 1 cup milk mixture to dissolved gelatin; stir until blended.
- Add to remaining milk mixture in blender; blend until smooth.
- Pour into 12 custard cups or parfait glasses, adding about 1/3 cup to each.
- Refrigerate 30 min.
- or until firm.
- Meanwhile, add boiling water to remaining gelatin mix in medium bowl; stir 2 min.
- until completely dissolved.
- Add cold water; stir.
- Cool.
- Arrange oranges and cherries over desserts; cover with plain cooled gelatin.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
- Serve topped with COOL WHIP.
