Streusel Fruit Custard
- 15.25-oz can pears
- 15 can sliced peaches
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. unsalted butter
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Arrange the drained pears and peaches in an ungreased 8-inch square or 7 x 11 glass baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, beat eggs with a wire whisk until blended.
- Beat in 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 cup sour cream and 1 tsp.
- vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour over fruit.
- In the same bowl, mix all the topping ingredients until crumbly.
- Sprinkle over fruit mixture.
- Bake 30 to 40 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and center is set.
- Cool at least 15 minutes; serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if you like.
- Store custard in the refrigerator.
