Streusel Fruit Custard

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Arrange the drained pears and peaches in an ungreased 8-inch square or 7 x 11 glass baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat eggs with a wire whisk until blended.
  3. Beat in 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 cup sour cream and 1 tsp.
  4. vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour over fruit.
  6. In the same bowl, mix all the topping ingredients until crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle over fruit mixture.
  8. Bake 30 to 40 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and center is set.
  9. Cool at least 15 minutes; serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if you like.
  10. Store custard in the refrigerator.
