Flaxseed Meal Bread

  1. Dissolve the yeast in 2 Tbsp. warm water and set aside until bubbly, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Add honey, oil, and salt to the remaining 1 1/4 c. warm water.
  3. When the yeast water is ready, add to the honey mixture.
  4. Add flaxseed meal, whole wheat flour, and 1 c. bread flour to water and mix well.
  5. Add enough of the remaining bread flour to make a soft, kneadable dough.
  6. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
  7. Shape the dough in a loaf and place in the pan.
  8. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
