Blackberry And Blueberry Pie Recipe

  2. Cut shortening into 2 c. flour and salt till particles are size of small peas.
  3. Sprinkle in water 1 Tbsp.
  4. at a time till flour is moistened.
  5. Gather into a ball, and roll out onto a lightly floured board.
  6. Make two rounds.
  7. Place one crust in a 9 inch pie dish.

  9. Mix sugar, 1/3 c. flour, and cinnamon.
  10. Stir in berries to coat.
  11. Turn filling into pastry lined pan.
  12. Sprinkle with lemon juice, dot with butter.
  13. Cover with top crust;cut slits in the top.
  14. Seal and flute.

  16. Bake at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 35 to 45 min.
  17. Cover edges with foil to prevent burning, and remove foil for last 12 min of baking.
  18. Makes 9 inch pie
  19. This is a delicious berry pie which combines both blueberries and blackberries.
