Spring Sensation Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Grease and flour one 13 x 9 pan and line one 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners.

  4. Combine contents of one cake mix, one pudding mix, 1 1/3 cup chocolate milk, cup oil and 4 eggs in large bowl of electric mixer.
  5. Beat 30 seconds on low speed; scrape down sides and bottom of bowl.
  6. Increase speed to medium high and beat 2 minutes until well combined
  7. Spread batter evenly in 13in x 9in pan.
  8. Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  9. Cool 10 minutes in pan.
  10. Invert onto wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Repeat with remaining ingredients and divide batter among 12 muffin cups.
  12. Bake 18 to 20 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  13. Cool on wire rack.
  14. Cut the 13 x 9 cake into the shape of a basket and freeze for easier frosting.
  15. Use 2 to 3 cans of frosting to decorate cupcakes.
  16. Add a touch of brown food coloring to 1 can of frosting to get the tan basket color.
  17. Create the look of a basket weave by using an over and under pattern.
  18. Decorate tops of cupcakes with silk flowers and arrange the cupcakes as a bouquet.
