Blue Cheese, Dried Cherry & Bacon Wontons

  1. Lay the wonton wrappers on a flat surface.
  2. Top with 3-4 dried cherries, then with 1 teaspoon cheese, sprinkle with about 1/2 teaspoon bacon.
  3. Keep the filling in the middle, away from the edges.
  4. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water.
  5. Fold the wrapper in half and secure the edges well with your fingers.
  6. Repeat for all wrappers.
  7. Heat the oil oil in a large pan until hot but not smoking.
  8. Working in batches (making sure not to overcrowd the pan), cook the wontons on each side until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  9. Remove from the pan and allow to cool and drain on a paper towel.
  10. Serve warm.
