Awesome Pretzel Chicken Tenders with Spicy Honey Dijon Sauce

  1. Combine basil, garlic, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place buttermilk and 1/2 spice mix in bag.
  3. Add chicken and massage bag until coated.
  4. Refrigerate 6 to 12 hours.
  5. Place almonds and pretzels in plastic bag.
  6. Mash with rolling pin into small pieces and powder.
  7. In large pan add oil (about 1 1/2 inches high).
  8. Heat to 350.
  9. Remove tenders from buttermilk and dredge in almond-pretzel mix.
  10. Do not overcrowd pan.
  11. Fry until golden brown, about 5 min.
  12. Remove and drain on a wire rack.
  13. In a small food processor, combine spicy sauce ingredients.
  14. Refrigerate until ready to use.
