Saltine Cracker Crumb Pie Recipe
- 3 egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- 10 saltines, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 c. pecans, minced
- 1 c. whipping cream
- Beat egg whites till stiff.
- Sift together sugar and baking pwdr together and fold into egg whites.
- Add in minced pecans and saltines.
- Put mix into a 9 inch pie plate smoothing the top till it comes to the inner edge of the pie plate.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
- Pie won't be smooth in applesauce.
- When completely cold.
- Cover pie with whipped cream.
- Chill for 8-9 hrs.
- Before cutting, cut around edges with a sharp knife.
