Crock Pot Thai Style Chicken
- 1 broiler-fryer chicken, whole
- 14 cup peanut oil
- 14 cup tamari
- 2 -4 tablespoons rice vinegar (or substitute with lime juice)
- 2 -4 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili-garlic sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- Place all the ingredients but the fryer in a crock pot.
- Adjust flavors to taste.
- Place fryer in, breast side down.
- Allow it to marinate for at least two hours (and up to overnight), covered, in the fridge.
- Flip the fryer over, breast side up.
- Turn crock pot on low and cook for 4-6 hours.
- Serve with steamed vegetables or on a salad.
- I like it with a peanut sauce.
