Waldorf Salad

  1. Core and dice apples.
  2. In a large bowl, sprinkle cut-up apples with 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
  3. Add celery, grapes, walnuts and raisins.
  4. For dressing, in a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice.
  5. Whip cream just until soft peaks form.
  6. Fold whipped cream into the mayonnaise mixture; spoon over the apple mixture.
  7. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
  8. Cover and chill. To serve, fold dressing into fruit mixture.
  9. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
