Spicy Sardine fish curry
- 500 grams fresh sardines
- 2 tomatoes chopped
- 1 large onion chopped
- 6 green chilli finely chopped
- 250 grams spring onions
- 6 pieces shallots
- bunch of parsley
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp fish curry masala
- 1/2 tbsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/3 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
- 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper
- Heat oil in pan and fry the chopped vegetables for a couple of minutes.
- Add the spices and mix well.
- Add the sardines, mix well and fry it for 10 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of water and cook the fish in high flame for 20 mins (add more water if needed).
- Add the spring onions and cook for couple of minutes.
- Add more salt if needed.
- Top with fresh parsley leaves.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or Roti's.
