Brandied Cherry Sauce

  1. Combine cherries, sugar, water, brandy, and salt in a small sauce pan.
  2. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for 1520 minutes or until cherries are softened.
  3. Dissolve cornstarch in 1 teaspoon of water.
  4. Stir into sauce and return heat to a boil.
  5. Cook about 1 minute or until thickened.
  6. Stir in lemon juice.
  7. Serve with French toast, waffles, pancakes, ice cream or your dessert of choice.
