Sensational Strawberry Summer Trifle
- 10 -12 sponge cake fingers
- 300 g fresh strawberries
- 150 ml fresh orange juice
- 15 ml sherry wine
- 250 g mascarpone
- 500 ml prepared custard
- 1 Cadbury Flake chocolate bar
- Break up sponge fingers into a large bowl and scatter over the strawberries.
- Mix sherry and orange juice and drizzle over spongefingers and strawberries.
- Leave to soak for 15 minutes.
- Beat the mascarpone, then gradually beat in the custard.
- Spoon the custard mix over the sponge, scatter over a few strawberries and the crumbled flake and serve!
- (I usually let it set in the fridge for an hour or two).
- You can use any of your favrout berries for example:gooseberries, blueberries or make a mix of different berries.
- You can make individual deserts by making the trifle in glasses or small desert bowls.
- I've used orange flavoured Flake before and it works like a charm!
