Smart Spaghetti & Meatballs
- 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef King Sooper's 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
- 1/3 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided
- 3 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided
- 1/2 lb. whole wheat spaghetti, uncooked, broken in half
- 1 jar (24 oz.) CLASSICO FAMILY FAVORITES Traditional Pasta Sauce
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine first 5 ingredients, 3/4 cup mozzarella and 2 Tbsp.
- Parmesan.
- Shape into 18 meatballs, using about 2 Tbsp.
- for each; place on rimmed baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake 15 min.
- or until done (160 degrees F).
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti as directed on package and heat pasta sauce in separate saucepans.
- Drain spaghetti; place on platter.
- Combine meatballs and sauce; spoon over spaghetti.
- Top with remaining cheeses.
