Hot German Potato Salad

  1. Place potatoes in large bowl; set aside.
  2. Cook bacon in skillet on medium heat to desired crispness.
  3. Remove bacon from skillet and drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings.
  4. Add onion, celery and reserved drippings to skillet.
  5. Cook and stir until celery is tender-crisp.
  6. Blend in flour.
  7. Stir in water, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and bacon.
  8. Bring to boil.
  9. Cook on medium heat 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  10. Gently mix dressing with potatoes.
