Hot German Potato Salad
- 6 medium potatoes, peeled, cooked and sliced
- 8 slices OSCAR MAYER Thick Cut Bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup
- 1/3 cup sugar
- salt and pepper to taste (optional)
- Place potatoes in large bowl; set aside.
- Cook bacon in skillet on medium heat to desired crispness.
- Remove bacon from skillet and drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings.
- Add onion, celery and reserved drippings to skillet.
- Cook and stir until celery is tender-crisp.
- Blend in flour.
- Stir in water, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and bacon.
- Bring to boil.
- Cook on medium heat 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Gently mix dressing with potatoes.
