Mother's Raw Applesauce Cake Recipe

• 1 1/2 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. lard or possibly butter
• 2 Large eggs
• 1/2 c. cool black coffee
• 2 c. flour
• 1 c. minced fine raw apples
• 1 or possibly 1/2 c. raisins
• 1/2 c. nut meats
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 rounding teaspoon soda
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• Little cloves

1. Cream sugar, salt, shortening and salt.
2. Add in coffee, apples, raisins and nut meats.
3. Mix soda, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon in flour before adding to rest of mix.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min or possibly till done.
